Hey EA, when will you finally get the beta

It's September and still there is no official date to start the Open Beta vonbattlefield 2042. We will take this from Meinmmo as an occasion to summarize the current state of the notes and rumors of the last weeks.

This is the current status: After an alpha playtest, to which there were already numerous leaks, the fans of Battlefield 2042 are now waiting for the start of the Open Beta.

Officially this should start in September. Otherwise, however, we have not experienced anything concrete to the content of the test version. In between, EA of September 4th has been circulated, but the date deleted himself again. Since that you think they are covered.

Since Battlefield 2042 should already appear on October 22, this will now take some fans for restlessness. It's not far to release - will it soon be time for an exact date?

When could it start? We give you an overview of the current rumors and what was going on in the last few weeks.

The coming weekend will be unlikely

Due to the absence of official information, above all, the deleted date of Electronic Arts has held persistently. Now the time will be slow until 4 September slowly and still there is no official information.

Therefore, it looks as if the date had not been removed without reason of EA. So far, however, it was stubborn.

That's why many of September 4th were: In a blog entry from last July, a concrete release period for the beta took place for a short time.

  • The Early Access to the Open Beta should start according to this info next Saturday, September 4th.
  • On September 6, the beta would then open for everyone, the end would be the 11th of September.
  • But the data has been quickly removed, since there are no official information for a closer period.
  • Only September remains official.

Nevertheless, the date ghosted through the Gamer landscape, numerous media and streamers continued to speculate on September 4th.

Even the Italian retail dealer Media World, the counterpart to Media Markt, probably went from the coming week and listed September 6 as the start of the Open Beta (via VGC.com). Meanwhile, the info disappeared again from the dealer's website.

Otherwise reliable sources, which were often correct with their info, are now apparently struggling with the information situation. So also the well-known insider Tom Henderson.

Only a few days ago Henderson assumed that we should get concrete information until today, September 2nd. A little later, he relativized this statement again. Apparently, his source was wrong. Henderson wrote in a tweet:

This time frame is increasingly looked as if it is not true. I have trusted this person in recent years and she was always open to everything. However, I will [the Tweet] for reasons of transparency. But the consensus is that nobody knows what's going on.

Twitter @ tom_henderson

Although there is never a guarantee that leaks or insider information apply. But Henderson is considered a reliable source when it comes to Battlefield insider information. So he has already betrayed numerous info like setting for months in advance.

Accordingly, it is now speculated via internal difficulties with EA. Already before, some of the assumption occurred that there could be problems and some speculates even whether Battlefield 2042 is not postponed.

Due to the short time and the lack of info, at least, at least, it should be very unlikely that the beta starts next weekend.

Radio silence ensures further restlessness

Therefore, some fans are concerned: In addition to the still open date, numerous fans are now wondering why Electronic Arts holds so covered.

Since the trailers in June and July there were no news about Battlefield 2042. There are still no longer official gameplay cutouts. This ensures in combination with the alleged delay of the Open Beta for speculation around the state of the shooter, less than two months before the official release.

Some even suspect a possible shift of the releases. Meanwhile, each small detail is used by the fans in the sub -peddite to speculate on news. Just as in the subreddit to BF2042, where even a small steam update of the product page for swirls can provide. (via reddit.com)

But you also find many humorous reactions that at least make in the waiting time for smile. So the User Barbad20 is convinced to know the true date of the beta:

The beta phase will take place between the 8th and 15th of September. From where I know this?

Quite simply, on the 8th of September I have an exam at the university and the day afterwards I have to move and will be without internet all week.

This seems to be conclusive for a number of reddit users when it comes to the reactions:

  • Finally a reliable source (via reddit.com)
  • I think this guy is a responsible at DICE (via reddit.com)
  • I think the more credible than any info of official leaks out there (via reddit.com)

Henderson now seems to be drawn from the frustration of some fans who have taken his info probably too much for Bare coin. This is at least from a tweet:

The situation is not calmed down by EA. Only recently made an official Twitter account to Battlefield itself jokes about the date of beta, which was not so funny with some fans (via Twitter).

Why does not EA do not show more?

You can only speculate about the reasons for the overall situation. It is currently just too little known for the game to make any conclusions on the state of development.

Although the Leaks to the Alpha test have supplied at least some clues, but ultimately it was just an alpha and the version was probably already several months old.

There are a few variants that explain the behavior of EA and the thin information situation:

  • There are actually problems and delays in development
  • EA and DICE want to stalk the hype, so it could be part of the marketing strategy around Battlefield 2042

It may also be a mixture of these variants. Ultimately, nothing remains unless possible to wait until there is finally hand-hard information. Henderson himself does not believe that the actual release is in danger (via CharlIingel.com).

So far, EA holds in September as a period for the release of the Open Beta. At least that should be reliable. Until now.

M EHR to Battlefield 2042:

  • Battlefield 2042 is not there yet, but already cheats are offered
  • All well-known class specialists in Battlefield 2042 and what they have on it
  • Battlefield 2042: System Requirements - How strong does your PC have to be? First leak

Which date would be possible? An indication could be the direct competitor COD: Vanguard, which starts an open beta phase in September. This will run for pre-orderers from September 16 to 20 September.

Well possible so that EA either wants to avoid this date so many players as possible participate in their own beta and do not have to decide for one of them. In addition, it is currently hard to say when it starts.

But what do you think of the situation? Are you so frustrated about the information situation like many other fan? Or are you leaning back comfortably and waits? Discuss with us in the comments.

Although there is no official, new gameplay yet, but you can already see a leak of the Alpha here. The shows 11 weapons and how they fire.
