Gloomy mmorpg starts beta, wants to convince you with story and tactical struggles

The new Oldschool MMORPG Broken Ranks comes from Poland and starts soon to the next beta. The second Open Beta is planned for September. Especially fans of tactical fighting and a comprehensive story should keep an eye on the MMORPG.

What is this for a game? In the MMORPG Broken Ranks, she slips into the role of a refugee. Your Reich, Tavern, was overrun by the hordes of Utoria and devastated. Countless residents were murdered or enslaved, only their and few others could escape and are now homeless.

In the course of history, you learn more about the background story of your character and the NPCs from the game. You fight as a freedom fighter against the invaders of Utoria and must combine the battered rich behind you to rebuild it together.

Especially with combat system and the story, the Polish developers want to convince their future players. In a first beta of Broken Ranks you could already see the game more exactly. Now the second Open Beta is expected to follow in September.

Tactical fighting are a special feature under the MMORPG

How are the fighting? The struggles do not take place on the main card, but instead in a separate combat screen, as you know it from classic Japanese RPGs.

On the world map you run in real time, but when it comes to fight, the game turns into a special combat mode. This is recalling games like Temtem, where you also move into a fight mode.

The struggles run round-based and they bother either alone, with Ki companions or with other human players. In a round you have ten seconds to plan your actions. You can choose from skills or opposing attacks counter.

What else does the game still offer? In addition to the tactical fighting, the game also wants to offer a lot of exciting tasks with decision possibilities.

The game itself is based in construction and after the first experiences from the first beta rather on oldschool games. You are traveling either alone or in a group and explores in isometric perspective cities and ruins and fights opponents. Also PVP should give it in the future.

Where can you download the game? Download and login can you directly on the official website (Via BrokenRanks.com). The second beta should take place like the first beta on the Windows PC, an Android and Mac version should also be there in the future.

A steam release has not yet been provided and a German version is not yet available. The first Open Beta was in English.
